All classes in Delhi, except 10 and 12, to go hybrid

Hybrid classes for Delhi schools comes after the CAQM in the National Capital Region and adjoining areas imposed GRAP 4 curbs.

The Directorate of Education (DoE) has directed all schools to switch to hybrid mode as the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) in the National Capital Region and adjoining areas announced curbs under stage 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) on Saturday.

All classes, except classes 10 and 12, have to be shifted to hybrid mode with immediate effect.

“All Heads of Schools of Government, Government Aides, Unaided Recognized Private Schools of DOE, NDMC, MCD and Delhi Cantonment Board are directed to conduct classes in schools for children up to Class 9 and 11 in a Hybrid Mode i.e. both in physical and online mode (wherever online mode is feasible) with immediate effect until further orders,” the DoE order, issued on Saturday, stated.

With the constant hybrid mode implementations due to deteriorating air quality in the Capital, teachers and parents remain confused between protecting the children’s health and ensuring uninterrupted learning.
