Delhi high court on alert after threat mail warns of bomb blast at mid day

Delhi high court bomb threat: The threat mail warned of imminent explosions in the court complex.

Panic gripped the Delhi High Court after an email was received threatening of a bomb on the premises on Friday, police said, adding that the search and cordon operation was underway and the premises was evacuated.

The email, addressed to the High Court staff, stated: "A smart and dynamic young Shia Muslim by the name Dr. Shah Faesal has successfully made links with the Pakistan ISI cells in Coimbatore to recreate the 1998 blasts today in Patna. See, the basic funda is, secular parties depend on allowing family dynasty politics and corruption to thrive in-order to fight BJP/RSS. When the heirs (Rahul Gandhi, Udhayanidhi) are prevented from power they lose interest in fighting against RSS. Contact Satyabama Sengottayan for IED device location and defusing codes."

The sender further made political comments, saying: "Thus, to create a new evolution of Secular leader, the bottlenecks of the equation the heir apparent will be eliminated, so that the pseudo-secularists will leave and only dedicated secularists will come to party power. We propose Dr. Ezhlian Naganathan to take over DMK and this week Inbanidhi Udhayanidhi s/o Udhayanidhi Stalin will be acid burnt. The intelligence agencies won’t have a clue that this is an inside job."

Responding to the threat, police and the bomb squad reached the court premises and evacuated the people, after which a search and cordon operation was underway.

Court officials confirmed that proceedings are likely to resume around 2.30 pm, subject to security clearance.

Bomb threats in Delhi

Earlier on September 9, the Maulana Azad Medical College in the national capital and the Delhi Chief Minister's Secretariat received bomb threats, Delhi police said.

According to Delhi Police, the threat, received via email, indicated a possible detonation at MAMC and the CM Secretariat. Delhi Police said that there was no specific mention in the email that was sent to the MAMC medical college dean. A bomb squad was deployed to the sites.

On August 28, around 20 colleges, including Jesus and Mary College in Chanakyapuri, Delhi, received bomb threat emails. According to the police, the calls were declared a hoax after the investigation. It is suspected that the sender of the email used a VPN.
