The number of women receiving pensions under the women in distress scheme more than doubled, rising from 1.69 lakh beneficiaries in 2015-16 to 3.97 lakh in 2024-25.

Institutional support for senior citizens also increased, with beneficiaries at government-funded homes and day-care centres rising from 115 to 241 over the same period, according to the report.

On food security, the report said, Delhi achieved 100% beneficiary coverage under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) in 2024-25, up from 99.42% in 2015-16.

Child nutrition indicators also improved, with the prevalence of stunting declining from 31.9% to 26.4% and wasting from 15.9% to 15%. However, the proportion of underweight children remained largely unchanged at around 27%, indicating persistent nutritional challenges, according to the report.

The report noted that the maternal mortality ratio stood at 44 per one lakh live births in 2024, while the neonatal mortality rate declined to 14.13 per 1,000 live births, reflecting improvements in maternal and child healthcare.

Delhi also made strides in sustainable mobility with cumulative electric vehicle registrations surged from 24,420 in 2015-16 to 4.13 lakh in 2024-25.
