While AAP held a candle light vigil in support of Kanjahwala victim on Wednesday, the Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia visited the family of the Kanjhawala victim on Wednesday and assured the family members that the Delhi government will be standing with them in the tough times. “We will leave no stone unturned to get justice for their daughter. this is not an accident but a brutality that has left the whole nation in a state of shock. The government will ensure to get the strictest punishment for all the culprits involved in this incident and will get justice for the victim,” he stated.

After meeting the family, Sisodia said that the victim was the sole earning member of her family and to support the family of the victim, the government will provide assistance of 10 lakh. “Papers have also been procured for giving employment to a member of the family. Along with this, the government will get the complete treatment done of the victim’s mother, who needs dialysis on a regular basis,” he added. Sisodia stated that the incident is an example of extreme brutality. “ the girl gets trapped under the car and is trampled for 12 km but the car riders do not even realise that. The sad part is that we are still waiting for stringent action against culprits.”

In a press conference on Wednesday evening, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh stated tha the has been continuously calling the Home Minister’s office for an appointment, but they aren’t ready to give time to the AAP delegation. “An accused in the Kanjhawala incident, is a BJP leader, so the whole BJP government is working to protect him. BJP has not yet expelled Manoj Mittal from its party because like Unnao-Hathras incidents, BJP always supports such perpetrators. Not even a single word of condemnation has come out of the mouths of BJP MPs, MLAs and Union Ministers regarding the Kanjhawala inincident. At the behest of BJP leaders, efforts are now being made to give a different angle to this matter, a cover-up is being organised to save accused.” he added.

Singh said, “I would like to tell Amit Shah that if he is unable to handle the responsibility of ensuring law and order in Delhi, then he should give this task to someone else. People have been shot in court premises under his watch and the Delhi Police has chased and beaten up student protestors and lawyers. Delhi has once again seen gang wars under his watch. If he is unable to handle the law and order situation in Delhi, he should leave it for someone more capable. Give an opportunity to the Delhi Chief Minister and he will show you how to effectively handle the law and order situation in Delhi.” he added.

Delhi BJP Working President Virendra Sachdeva said that the way Aam Aadmi Party leaders are making politically motivated statements after the Sultanpuri mishap is condemnable. “It is a matter of regret that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself has spoken irresponsibly in this matter and he has given freedom to his party colleagues to speak freely in this sensitive matter which is not desired. the manner in which Aam Aadmi Party leaders have been making personal comments against the LG of Delhi and a Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police for two days is completely motivated by political bias.

Sachdeva has said that not only the Lt. Governor but the Union Home Ministry too has taken the Sultanpuri mishap very seriously while the Delhi BJP too has also called it a case of murder, it would be better if Aam Aadmi Party let Delhi Police impartially investigate this sensitive case.
