A fire evacuation mock drill was conducted at M3M Urbana Business Park Corporate Building in Sector 67A on Wednesday, with hundreds of employees from at least 37 corporate companies participating, building management officials said.

The drill began at around 11.30am and continued till 12pm, according to the management.
Ravinder Kumar, Building manager and DGM of Urbana Business Park, said the exercise was organised by Abante Integrated Management Services as part of National Fire Safety Week to create awareness about emergency disaster response. “Around 3,000 employees showed their enthusiasm by participating in the exercise… Siren sounds blared across multiple floors of the high-rise buildings during a test run of the emergency alert system,” Kumar said.
He added that employees evacuated their workplaces and gathered in the common area outside Towers A, B and C after alarms were triggered.
Emergency responders conducted demonstration sessions on firefighting equipment, including the use of fire extinguishers, alarm systems and evacuation procedures. “The demonstration also highlighted the importance of staying calm and following designated escape routes and not using elevators during an emergency,” Kumar said.
