‘No Nasha Nation’ awareness drive in Gurugram highlights stand against drug abuse

The campaign in collaboration with the local RWA was organised to sensitise students and families about the negative impacts of substance abuse.

As part of the nationwide “No Nasha Nation” campaign launched in Gururgam on Sunday, DAV Public School, Sector 14, Gurugram on Tuesday organised a public-awareness programme at the sector’s community centre to strengthen community participation in the fight against drug abuse.

The campaign in collaboration with the local RWA was organised to sensitise students and families about the negative impacts of substance abuse.

Addressing the gathering, the schools’s principal Aparna Erry praised the movement led by Arya Yuva Samaj and its national president, Yogi Suri. She said the school remains committed to creating socially responsible citizens through education and collective action.

A 100-Kundiya Hawan was performed by students of Class 8. Students also presented a motivational poem and a street play, depicting the emotional, physical and social consequences of drug abuse.

The programme concluded with a collective pledge by students, teachers, parents and officials, reaffirming their shared commitment to a drug-free nation. Organisers said such initiatives are vital for strengthening awareness at the grassroots level and ensuring that preventive messages reach every home.
