Himachal logs 3 deaths, 385 new virus cases

Three more patients succumbed to Covid-19 in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday, taking the death toll to 858, officials said.

One death each was reported in Kangra, Mandi and Una district. The tally of positive cases has also reached 52,010 after the state reported 385 fresh infections.Also, 390 more patients have been cured, taking the overall recoveries to 45,138. There are 5,966 active cases in the state.

Of the new cases, 83 cases were recorded in Mandi, 72 in Shimla, 41 in Kullu, 33 in Sirmaur, 32 in Kangra, 31 in Bilaspur, 24 in Solan, 23 in Una, 22 in Chamba, 14 in Hamirpur, eight in Kinnaur and two in Lahaul-Spiti.

With 9,593 cases, Shimla is the worst-hit district followed by Mandi where 9,057 people have tested positive till date. As many as 7,092 cases have been reported in Kangra, 6,030 in Solan, 4,246 in Kullu, 3,017 in Sirmaur; 2,667 in Bilaspur, 2,567 in Una, 2,652 in Chamba 2,601 in Hamirpur, 1,264 in Kinnaur and 1,200 in Lahaul-Spiti district.

So far, 6,67,510 tests have been conducted in Himachal.
