A team of the Anti -Terrorism Squad (ATS) from Muzaffarnagar left for New Delhi on Tuesday night to look for the contractor who had facilitated the job for the alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba operative Sandeep Sharma in Jammu and Kashmir.

The police have released Sharma’s brother and cousin after interrogating them. They had taken Sandeep’s brother, his cousin and a friend into custody on July 10.
After getting some important information about the contractor, the ATS team left for Delhi along with a friend of Sandeep, sources said.
Five years ago, Sandeep and his cousin had gone to New Delhi to search for jobs where they met a contractor.
The contractor reportedly sent them to Baramulla to work as welders at a power grid station. Due to family problems, Sandeep’s cousin returned to Muzaffarnagar after 15 days while Sandeep continued to work there.
