As part of its tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary, the Lucknow Metro has dedicated an entire wall of its Bapu Bhavan Metro Station to Gandhiji’s life by displaying the photos depicting his journey.
The initiative is the brainchild of MD UP Metro Rail Corporation Kumar Keshav.
The wall reflects various phases of Gandhiji’s life starting from his childhood, journey to South Africa, fight against apartheid, political journey in India and his role in the freedom movement.
“This is not just a collection of photographs, but a motto that can inspire lakhs of people to move forward in their lives. The life of Mahatma has been a journey of sacrifice which is an inspiration for the people. By following his footprints people will be able to give a healthy and beautiful society to the coming generation,” said Keshav.
Insisting it’s a must see gallery, Keshav urged everyone to try and visit the place to learn about the life of the father of the nation.
