The girl’s father in his complaint alleged that his nine-year-old daughter was in severe depression due to harassment by her teacher. “The FIR has been registered under sections 75 and 85 of Juvenile Justice Act 2015 and further probe is being carried out,” SHO, Civil Lines police station, Virendra Singh said.

In his complaint, the girl’s father claimed that her daughter is suffering from a severe backbone disorder due to which doctors have suggested to send her school only on condition that she would not sit in a certain posture for long. However, one of her teachers, the girl’s father alleged, forced her to sit on a bench.

“The issue was sorted out after the intervention of the school principal but her teacher started mental harassment of my daughter. The teacher made remarks on her ailment and insulted her in the class regularly. My daughter at first suffered the humiliation but informed me of her trauma when she failed to tolerate it anymore. The report of her mental check-up revealed that she was in deep shock. I made a complaint to the principal in this connection but no action was taken against the teacher responsible for my daughter’s condition” the complainant alleged.
