Illegal factory of fugitive criminal demolished in Meerut
A joint team of Meerut police, development authority, and district administration demolished an illegally constructed factory building belonging to fugitive criminal Badan Singh “Baddo” in Jagannathpuri locality on Tuesday.
A joint team consisting of Meerut police, development authority and district administration demolished an illegally constructed factory building of fugitive criminal Badan Singh ‘Baddo’ in Jagannathpuri locality here on Tuesday.
Badan Singh had escaped from police custody on March 28, 2019 and since then he is untraceable. A reward of ₹2.5 lakh has been declared on his arrest but police still have no clue about his whereabouts.
Meanwhile, police collected information about his properties and bulldozed one of his houses last year.
Meerut’s senior superintendent of police Prabhakar Choudhary said that Badan Singh had illegal occupied the land of a park in Jagannathpuri locality and constructed a factory on it in someone else’s name.
The factory building was lying idle and no work was going on in it, he said
He said the factory was demolished on Tuesday in the presence of officials of Meerut Development Authority and district administration.
He added that a list of Badan Singh’s properties had been prepared and similar action would be initiated against them after completing all legal formalities.
