Yogi Adityanath says global industry impressed with Uttar Pradesh policies
Every district will benefit from investment ahead of Global Investors Summit-2023, says Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath at a meeting with public representatives
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said global industry was impressed with the state’s industry-friendly environment and policies.
Every district would get the benefits of investment coming to Uttar Pradesh ahead of the Global Investors Summit-2023 scheduled here on February 10- 12, he said while reviewing development projects of Unnao, Lucknow and Hardoi districts with MPs and MLAs of these areas.
After inviting investors from 16 countries to the GIS-2023, the state teams’ tours to major cities of the country were successful, he added. He also said Uttar Pradesh had set itself a target of becoming a trillion dollar economy under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Lucknow, Unnao and Hardoi districts had opportunities in every sector, including agriculture, food processing, dairy, textiles, biofuels and solar energy, the chief minister said.
He also said major companies were coming to set up their units at the Lucknow node of the defence corridor. He enquired about the status of development projects from the public representatives in their respective areas.
The public representatives apprised the chief minister of the aspirations of the local people and also gave new proposals for development works in their area.
The state was getting investment proposals worth lakhs of crores rupees ahead of GIS-2023, Yogi Adityanath said, adding that the summit was necessary to connect the youngsters with employment.
Observing that the dredging of rivers had yielded good results to solve the problem of river erosion and floods, he said this programme should be continued.
Noting that drone technology was being used and construction of new embankments and repair of old ones being carried out, he said MPs and MLAs should monitor these works in their respective areas.
Calling the role of public representatives important in shaping the possibilities of eco-tourism in Unnao and Hardoi, he said there was a need to prepare a better action plan.
He also said the benefits of the mass marriage scheme implemented for families with low-income groups should be extended to the needy. The government had started the “Mathrubhoomi Yojana” and now anyone may directly participate in the development of his/her village/city, the chief minister added.
The state capital Lucknow was turning out to be the standard of modern urban development, chief minister Yogi Adityanath said.
About the development of a night safari near Kukrail picnic spot in the state capital, he said that this scheme will expand the possibilities of tourism.
In the last five-and-a-half-years, law and order had improved, proper roads had been made even in remote villages and clean drinking water had become accessible in every house, he said.
