Mumbai: From providing free cataract operations to raising awareness on plants and animals, a unique NGO Mela ‘Saathi’ was organised by the students and Rotaract Club members of ATLAS SkillTech University in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) on March 18.

The fair brings NGOs together on one platform to make students aware about the various new causes that have come up in today’s times and to encourage children and parents to participate in social activities.
Saakshi Teckchandani, founder, Planet for Plants and Animals organisation, said, “Saathi is a great platform to connect with the youth as well as other NGOs to evoke a sense of consciousness towards co-existence and restoring our ecosystem. We are a unique organisation which works for environment conservation and restoration as well as animal welfare”.
Hansika Shahani Disawala, faculty in-charge of the Rotaract club of Atlas SkillTech University, said “Around 31 different organisations participated in this unique event. Students and parents need to be made aware of various new initiatives and social causes that are active in today’s time. We try to create that platform between NGOs and the youth.”
