The Khar police on Wednesday issued a second summons to Kamra after he failed to show up on Tuesday for investigation into his controversial comments about Shinde in the song filmed at Habitat Studio in Khar.

“Kamra is in Puducherry and he had requested, through his lawyer, for a week’s time,” said deputy commissioner of police, Dikshit Gedam. The police had however rejected his request and issued the second summons to him, he added.
The comedian has been booked by Khar police under sections 353(1) (criminal intimidation), 353(2) (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 356(2) (criminal defamation) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The Khar Police had summoned several individuals linked to Habitat Studio who were witnesses to the act and has recorded their statements, said sources.
