Noida: A fire broke out at the Amity University campus in Sector 125 on Saturday morning, officials said, adding that a short circuit likely caused it.

They added that no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
Fire department officials said they were informed about the fire at Tower-I of the campus around 5am, and two fire tenders were rushed to the scene.
“The reception and library area on the tower’s ground floor was in flames. The fire service unit managed to control the fire in about an hour,” said Pradeep Kumar, chief fire officer, Gautam Budh Nagar.
Amity University said in a statement: “A minor fire broke out in the J1 building of the Amity Noida campus, probably due to a short circuit, in the early morning hours today. Our security personnel and the fire department immediately took action and brought the fire under control in the shortest possible time. There was no harm to any person.”
