Greater Noida: Man jumps to death from high-rise

Greater Noida: A 27-year-old man allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the 12th floor of a tower in a Greater Noida housing society on Thursday, police said.

The deceased, a Sector 63-located firm employee, was originally from Haryana. He lived in that society with his friends, who were away at the time, said officials.

“The incident took place around 12 pm. The man died on the spot,” said Manoj Kumar Singh, SHO (Bisrakh police station), adding that a neighbour informed about the incident on emergency helpline 112.

“We are looking into the cause. But no suicide note was recovered,” said ADCP (Central Noida) Santosh Kumar

Police are interacting with his family and friends to ascertain what prompted such a step, said officials.
