Three men were injured after two cars collided on the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida on Saturday, police said.

According to police, the incident took place around 10 am when both the vehicles–a Honda City and a Maruti Swift Dzire–were travelling from Noida to Agra. The injured, all aged 28, all residents of Ghaziabad, were travelling in one of the cars.
Preliminary investigation suggests that one of the drivers may have dozed off at the wheel. ““Both cars were travelling side by side. It appears that one of the drivers lost control, following which the vehicles collided. The exact cause is being ascertained,” said Munendra Singh, station house officer (SHO) of Dankaur police station.
Passersby alerted the police, who reached the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. None of the injured had sustained serious injuries.
“We have not registered a case yet, as no complaint has been filed. However, our investigation is underway,” Singh said.
