Ludhiana police have taken the body of property dealer, who hanged himself from a ceiling fan at his office, into custody and kept it in the mortuary of the civil hospital

A 62-year-old property dealer ended his life by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his office in Jamalpur on Wednesday.

His lifeless body was discovered by his wife and son. On being informed, cops from Focal Point police station reached the spot. They have taken the body into custody and kept it in the mortuary of the civil hospital.

Police said the deceased had left his home in the morning without informing the family and even left his mobile phone behind. He didn’t even wear slippers while leaving.

Inquest proceedings have been initiated.
