New Delhi: Delhi government has extended the deadline for the city’s unaided private schools to apply for “recognition” or “extension of recognition” till December 31.

In a circular issued on Friday, the Directorate of Education (DoE) said: “It has, however, been observed that only a limited number of private unaided schools (are) functioning in non-conforming areas.” It added: “Accordingly, the competent authority has decided to extend the last date up to December 31, 2025.”

The government had earlier announced November 30 as the deadline for submission of the application. A portal for the same had also been launched on November 1.
