Restaurant owner in Ludhiana arrested for serving hookahs

Two two hookahs have been recovered from the arrested accused Vikas Kumar, owner of Machang restaurant near Rekhi cinema in Ludhiana

A restaurant owner was arrested on Wednesday for illegally serving hookah to customers.

Inspector Sanjeev Kapoor, station house officer at Division Number 1 police station, Ludhiana, said the police received a tip-off that hookah was being served to the visitors at this restaurant following which a raid was conducted and the accused was arrested. (HT FILE PHOTO)

A case has been registered under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Tobacco Products Act.
