In a public notice, the Board warned that fraudsters may pose as Board officials and contact students through phone calls, messages or emails, falsely claiming they can increase marks or influence scrutiny results in exchange for money.

UP Board secretary Bhagwati Singh clarified that the Board does not personally contact students regarding scrutiny matters and there is no provision for increasing marks through payment.

The Board advised students and parents not to trust suspicious communications or share personal, roll number or banking details with unknown persons. If approached by fraudsters, they should record the call and report the matter to the district inspector of schools or the cyber helpline at 1930.
