Pune: The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell announced on Tuesday a 2-day special extension, March 19 and 20, for registration to the MHT CET 2026 (PCM and PCB groups), with late fees.

The registration process for admission to professional courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, and Agriculture for the academic year 2026–27 had earlier concluded on February 27. However, following multiple requests from students across Maharashtra, who were unable to apply, the CET Cell decided to grant an additional opportunity.
This year, for the first time, candidates are being given two attempts for the MHT CET examination, following a decision by Higher and Technical Education minister Chandrakant Patil.
A total of 11,56,155 students have registered across both attempts.
