The Kumbh Mela minister, Girish Mahajan, said on Monday that the state government is working overtime to provide maximum facilities to devotees during the Simhastha Kumbh Mela.

“The state government’s emphasis is to develop various infrastructure facilities at both Nashik city and Trimbakeshwar ahead of the mega event,” said Mahajan while addressing a gathering during the foundation laying ceremony for the flagpole to be erected at Trimbakeshwar during the event.
The state government is undertaking several projects in Nashik city and Trimbakeshwar, worth ₹35,000 crore, to boost infrastructure for the Kumbh Mela. The work on the projects is in full swing.
The foundation stone-laying ceremony for the flagpole was performed at Kushavart Teerth by Govind Devgiri Maharaj, treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Ayodhya, in the presence of Mahajan.
Mahajan also reviewed the progress of the various ongoing development works at Trimbakeshwar.
He inspected the Godavari Ghat construction and DP Road works, Trimbakeshwar lift water system scheme from the Godavari River. He also instructed officials to complete the works on time and with quality.
