Pune: The Nashik–Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela Authority (NTKMA) during an online review meeting on Friday granted administrative approval to infrastructure and crowd management projects as part of preparations for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027, officials said on Saturday.

Divisional commissioner and NTKMA head Praveen Gedam, NTKMA commissioner Shekhar Singh, Nashik municipal commissioner Manisha Khatri, Nashik district collector Ayush Prasad, Ahilyanagar district collector Pankaj Ashiya and senior officials attended the meeting.
The cleared projects comprise ₹390-crore phase 2 works at Trimbakeshwar of development of “heritage corridor and darshan path”, construction of Vidhi Bhavan and allied religious facilities.
At Shirdi, approval was given to road and parking infrastructure works amounting to ₹24.53 crore.
To strengthen regional road connectivity, works on key corridors between Shirdi and Sangamner were approved at an estimated cost of ₹97.25 crore and construction of a new ghat at Takli at an estimated cost of ₹72.16 crore was also cleared.
