Pune: A total of 95,634 students appeared for the second-chance MHT CET examination for physics, chemistry and biology (PCB) group conducted by the State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell for admissions to pharmacy and agriculture professional courses for the academic year 2026–27 on May 10 and 11 in four sessions.

According to the CET Cell, 95,634 of the 116,540 registered students appeared for the exam conducted at 184 centres across 36 districts in Maharashtra. The first-attempt, conducted between April 21 and April 26, saw 263,206 candidates appear for the exam. This year, the CET Cell introduced a two-attempt system for the examinations for the first time, on the lines of the national-level JEE (Main) examination with higher percentile score obtained in either attempt considered for admission.
