The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) will launch an online platform to streamline campaign-related permissions for candidates contesting the upcoming civic elections, officials said on Friday.

The system will allow candidates to apply online for permissions to hold public meetings, book grounds, organise corner meetings and use campaign vehicles, eliminating the need for in-person visits to election offices.
Municipal commissioner and election officer Shravan Hardikar said the platform is being developed on the lines of the online permission system used during the Ganpati festival.
“The aim is to make the process transparent, time-bound and citizen-friendly, while ensuring adherence to the Model Code of Conduct,” he said.
Officials said the platform is likely to go live within a week.
