The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a water cut for Sinhagad Road, Katraj, Ambegaon, Dhankawadi, Sahakarnagar, Sukhsagar Nagar and Kondhwa areas on Thursday for carrying out works at the Vadgaon water treatment plant.
PMC water department head Nandkishor Jagtap, in a statement released to the press, said: “As works are planned at the Vadgaon water treatment plant, the areas dependent on this plant for supply will not receive water on Thursday”.
As per the circular, the following areas will not get supply water - Hingne, Anandnagar, Vadgaon Dhayari, Ambegaon Pathar, Dattanagar, Dhankawadi, Katraj, Bharti Vidyapeeth area, Kondhwa Budruk, Yeolewadi, Sahakarnagar,Tilaknagar, and Date Bus stop area.
The areas dependent on the Rajiv Gandhi Pumping Station would also be affected by the water cut. Santoshnagar, Dattangar, Ambegaon, Wondercity, Morebaug, Balajinagar, Sukhsagarnagar and Rajas Society would not get supply water on Thursday.
PMC said water supply will be restored on Friday in all the areas but at low pressure.
