Over the past three years, fire incidents have increased not only at Taljai Hill but also at other hills across the city, prompting concern and frustration among residents.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Subhash Jagtap played a key role in pushing for the fire station at Taljai Hill. The land for the station has been allotted near the Taljai Mata Temple.

Jagtap said, “There has been a long-standing demand for a fire station at Taljai Hill due to repeated fire incidents. The Pune Municipal Corporation has approved the proposal and allocated the necessary funds. This fire station will help provide a timely response to nearby areas.”
