On January 14, 2011, the foundation screened Yamla Pagla Deewana 1, followed by Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 on June 1, 2013 and Gadar 2 on September 4, 2023, in Pune. The events brought together cancer stricken children, parents and fans for an event filled with warmth, nostalgia and shared admiration for the superstar.

Manjeet Singh Virdi, Camp–based businessman and founder of Manjeet Singh Virdi Foundation, who is also a fan of the late actor Dharmendra, offered floral tributes to the legendary star on Monday along with other fans.

Virdi, who has followed Dharmendra for decades, shared one of his most cherished memories of the veteran actor. He recalled being deeply moved by Dharmendra’s simplicity and affection whenever they met.

“Dharam ji wasn’t just a great actor; he was a great human being. His kindness was bigger than his stardom,” Virdi said.
