Pune: Pune Zilla Parishad (ZP) under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Rotary Club to set up 30 skill labs across government schools in Pune district under its Pune Model School Project.

Under the project, schoolchildren will gain hands-on training in 13 key vocational disciplines, including plumbing, electrical work, tailoring, carpentry, knitting, beautician skills, and basic electronics.
Gajanan Patil, chief executive officer (CEO), Pune Zilla Parishad, said, “Skilling is essential for the future and forms a core part of the National Education Policy. We are proud that the visionary ideas of Vijay Bhatkar are becoming a reality in our schools.”
