PUNE A man who was booked by Pimpri-Chinchwad police for posing as a policeman and extorting money from a spa manager by threatening to leak videos from the spa in Wakad on February 27 was arrested by officials of another police station on March 7.

The accused arrested has been identified as Vishal Kailas Jaunjale.
A complaint in the matter was lodged by a 24-year-old man working at the spa located in Pimple Saudagar.
In the Pimple Saudagar incident, the accused demanded ₹30,000 in cash initially and threatened to circulate videos that he had taken of the girls at the parlour and defame them. The complainant gave ₹5,000 in cash out of fear and the poser policeman threatened of action if the rest of the money is not made soon, according to the police.
“We will investigate whether there are other such cases,” said assistant police inspector P Jadhav of Sangvi police station who is investigating the case.
A case under Sections 170 (personating a public servant) and 384 (extortion) of Indian Penal Code was registered at Sangvi police station. Assistant police inspector P Jadhav is investigating the case.
The incident came to light merely days after a similar case was registered at Wakad police station by another massage parlour owner. The accused posed as a policeman, demanded ₹1 lakh, and threatened to spread videos of the girls working there and take police action if they failed to pay.
