Nationalist Congress Party (SP) chief Sharad Pawar is stable and recovering well after being admitted to Pune’s Ruby Hall Clinic on Monday with complaints of cough, fatigue, and mild breathing discomfort, doctors said on Tuesday.

Dr Simon Grant, physician and trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic, said Pawar’s vital parameters were within normal limits and his overall clinical condition was satisfactory.
“He is stable and recovering well. The mild discomfort noted at the time of admission has improved with ongoing medical management,” the hospital said in a statement.
As a precautionary measure, doctors have decided to keep the 85-year-old leader under observation.
“His treatment is being carried out strictly as per Ruby Hall Clinic’s established medical protocols, and all investigations are being closely monitored. Further decisions regarding the course of care will be taken based on his clinical progress,” the statement added.
Pawar is being treated by Dr Grant and was placed under observation following initial examinations.
Ruby Hall Clinic has appealed to party workers and well-wishers to avoid gathering on the hospital premises to ensure routine patient care is not disrupted.
