PUNE: Loni Kalbhor police on Saturday arrested six persons for looting a shop owner at gunpoint for ₹8,500.

The accused have been identified as Samadhan Babalsure, Karan Chikane, Aniket Yadav, Hanumant alias Raj Hake, Sumit alias Vilas Khawale and Rohan Gaikwad and police have seized sharp weapons from the gang.
A case has been registered at Loni Kalbhor police station under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 395, 323, 504, 506 and further investigation in this case, is going on.
According to a police complaint filed by Ajinkya Kanchan, he runs a motor rewinding workshop at Mali Mala in Loni Kalbhor.
On November 14, at 8:30 pm six bike-borne accused arrived at his factory and started abusing him. Later they attacked him using an iron rod and wooden sticks. As per the complainant, one of the accused used a gun to threaten him and demanded whatever valuables and money he had in his shop.
When the accused refused to do so, they barged into his counter and robbed ₹8,500 cash from his pocket, and fled from the spot. The complainant alleged that the accused used a sickle, gun and other weapons to create a ruckus in the area. Dattatreya Chavan, police inspector with Loni Kalbhor police said, “We have arrested six accused in the Loni Kalbhor robbery case. Later during the probe, it was found that they had threatened Kanchan and robbed money from his shop by threatening him with weapons.”
