The city wing of the Rajput Karni Sena (RKS) has held demonstration on various occasions in the steel city, warning not to release the controversial film here on January 25.

“The name of the film has been changed and we are told that some scenes have also been cut. But the film still should be banned in its present form. We want President Ramnath Kovind to see the film himself once and decide as he is the supreme authority, particularly after Supreme Court has cleared its release. Whatever is his decision we will abide by that,” Bharati Singh, international president of IKVF—a foundation of Rajput women in 14 states of the country said.

The association members said they had handed over the letter to Jamshedpur Member of Parliament (MP) Bidyut Charan Mahto, who would present it to the President on the organisation’s behalf.
