In an alleged road rage incident, a 49-year-old doctor was shot after an argument with a teenager driving a Tata Safari in Farukhnagar on Saturday. The youth was reportedly learning how to drive.
The man, who was driving the car, was also injured when a bullet fired in the air by his brother Ravi Kumar hit him. The police said that accused is a short-tempered person and has already been booked for murder and attempt to murder.
The altercation reportedly stared after the minor hit a motorcycle that Dr Mahabir Yadav was riding.
The youth’s elder brother, who was watching the incident from rooftop, rushed to the spot and pumped four bullets into the doctor and while fleeing fired a shot in the air. The bullet reportedly hit the minor who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Gurgaon, said police. He is reported out of danger.
Yadav has been identified as a resident of village Jhajrola, who ran his clinic at village Ghumarpur near Pataudi.
According to the police, Yadav was on his way to village Mohammadpur from Balaji Colony in Faraukhnagar on Saturday morning along with his nephew Pappu to buy a plot. When they reached the Faraukhnagar crossing, a Tata Safari rammed their motorcycle and they fell on the road.

{{/usCountry}}The minor, a resident of Sonipat, was learning driving on his brother’s SUV. He got down from the SUV and an argument broke out.
Ravi, who rushed to the spot, shot four rounds at the doctor. The bullets pierced his head, neck, and chest. Yadav died on the spot.
Taking advantage of the low population in the colony, the accused fled from the spot on his SUV, said police.
“The accused is a property dealer and is short-tempered. He is a history sheeter have been jailed twice in murder and attempt to murder case”, said inspector Devi Charan, SHO Farukhnagar police station.
The nephew immediately reported the incident to the police and a team of ACP Tanya Singh, SHO Farukhnagar inspector Devi Charan and SFL team rushed to the spot and recovered the samples including the cartridges from the spot.
The body was handed over to the family members after the post-mortem to Gurgaon.
A case of murder has been registered against Ravi Kumar at Farukhnagar police station on Saturday.
