Australia had entered the series against the West Indies on equal points with India but below Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s side when ratings were calculated beyond the decimal point. However, the series win gave it one ratings point which was enough to put it ahead of India.
England leads the Test Championship table, followed by South Africa which is fraction of a point behind Andrew Strauss’ side.
