Australian cricket fans who could not travel to England for the Ashes series can still make themselves heard there through a unique initiative that will ensure their chants of support reach Ricky Ponting's men as a massive roar.

Australian cricket fans who could not travel to England for the Ashes series can still make themselves heard there through a unique initiative that will ensure their chants of support reach Ricky Ponting's men as a massive roar.

Cricket Australia has launched a 'Cheer them from Here' initiative for the fans of the Australian cricket team giving them the chance to yell out their support for Ponting and his men.

All they have to do is log on to www.Cricket.Com.Au and contribute to the 'Ashes roar' that will travel to their favourite players in the Australian team all the way to England.

The 15,000 km Ashes Cheer uses the latest audio capturing technology to allow every Aussie fan to record a cheer at the Cricket Australia website.

Once recorded, each individual cheer will be added to the next and one magnificent unified Ashes roar will be created that will be sent to the players more than 15,000 kilometers away.
