‘Fine-tuning the kit’: Ajinkya Rahane getting ready for the upcoming England tour
Rahane on Saturday shared a photo of his bats which he will carry for the upcoming tour. Before taking off for England, the Indian vice-captain was seen ‘fine-tuning’ his kit in the hotel room.
Team India will be squaring off against Kane Williamson’s New Zealand in the much-awaited final of the World Test Championship, which is scheduled to kickstart from June 18 in Southampton. Following the marquee clash, India will lock horns with the hosts in a five-match Test series later in the month of August.
Before leaving for the United Kingdom, the Indian players are undergoing a strict quarantine in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Test vice-captain Ajnkya Rahane took to social media and posted a picture of his blades which he is going to use during the England tour.
Rahane on Saturday shared a photo of his bats which he will carry for the upcoming tour. Before taking off for England, the Indian vice-captain was seen ‘fine-tuning’ his kit in the hotel room.
“Fine-tuning the kit as we prepare to fly down to England soon,” tweeted Rahane.
Rahane will be a vital cog for India in the upcoming tour. He will enter the WTC final as India’s highest run-scorer in the tournament. The Mumbai batsman scored 1095 runs from 28 innings at an average of 43.80, including three centuries and six half-centuries.

He had a great time in the Australia tour where he led India to a historic 2-1 series victory in the absence of Virat Kohli. He took charge of the Indian team in the Boxing Day Test at the MCG and scored a century as India won the match by 8 wickets.
