ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is still more than a year away, but tickets for cricket’s biggest event will go on sale later this year. While the 48-match schedule and ticket prices will be announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) towards the end of March, cricket fans can register for a ticket allocation ballot before April 30. The ‘cricket family ballot’ will open on May 1, while a public ticket ballot will take place in July-August.

General sale of all remaining tickets will take place September onwards.

Here is timeline to keep in mind for fans looking for tickets:

- 1 May: Cricket family ticket ballot

- July to August: Public ticket ballot

- September: Remaining tickets go on general sale

“With demand expected to be high, we are providing a priority ballot opportunity for the cricket family all over the world to apply for tickets. Our ticketing strategy has been designed to reward the players, coaches, umpires and supporters who make up the cricket family via priority access. This promises to be the greatest and most inclusive ICC Cricket World Cup ever as we prepare to not only welcome people from around the United Kingdom but also all over the world,” tournament director Steve Elworthy stated in an ICC press release.
