IND vs AFG, Highlights: It was a captain's knock from Shubman Gill as India defeated Afghanistan in a rain-affected contest in Dharamshala. The win saw India take a 1-0 lead in the ODI series. Gill remained unbeaten, slamming 84* off 66 balls, packed wih 11 fours and two sixes. Meanwhile, Rahul was also unbeaten at 39* off 19 deliveries. Earlier a huge mix-up saw Rohit Sharma lose his wicket in the sixth over. Attempting to take a single, Rohit was run out after Gill couldn't get past the bowler's followthrough. The former India captain departed for 16 off 16 balls. Then Gill built partnerships with Ishan Kishan (34) and Shreyas Iyer. Earlier, Debutants Gurnoor Brar and Harsh Dubey were in hot form, as India bowled out Afghanistan for 194 in 24.5 overs. Brar struck twice in the final over, removing Sharifi (4) and Rashid Khan (9) as he completed his three-wicket haul. Meanwhle, Dubey dismissed Hashmatullah Shahidi (27) and Azmatullah Omarzai (27) in the 22nd over to get his three-wicket haul. Dubey removed Shahidi (27) after the dismissal of Gurbaz. Nitish Kumar Reddy struck in the 16th over, dismissing Gurbaz for 102 off 51 balls. The Afghan opener also smacked eight fours and eight maximums. Gurbaz was leading Afghanistan's fightback after early dismissals. The Afghans lost early wickets as debutant Gurnoor Brar removed opener Ibrahim Zadran (1) in his maiden over. Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh dismissed Atal (0) and Rahmat Shah (3). Initially, India skipper Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to bowl against Afghanistan in the first ODI in Dharamshala on Saturday. Toss was delayed due to rain and it became a 25-over contest. The first innings began at 5:45 PM.
