India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test Day 3 Highlights: IND's top four blown away in 145-run chase, 45/4 at Stumps

Siraj pitches it up, not really a half volley, Shakib brings the front down to the pitch of the ball and sends it to the boundary with a glorious cover drive. Siraj had beaten the outside edge off previous ball though and does seem to have Shakib's number at the moment. 

Shakib Al Hasan is on five off six, Zakir on 17 off 50. Some stability at the moment for Bangladesh after those two wickets fell in consecutive overs. 

 Siraj sends the fifth ball of the 13th at length. Mominul on the move and gets squared up. Outside edge and a regulation catch for Pant. Extremely thin nick, seems like the umpire was not too sure but Mominul is known to be a walker to his credit. Bangladesh's first innings hero couldn't quite do a repeat. Mominul Haque is gone for 5, Bangladesh 26/2, trail by 61 runs. 

The bowlers are not doing Rahul any favours here. This time Siraj is the bowler, the third ball of the ninth over raps Zakir Hassan on his pads. Big appeal from the Indians turned down and it seems Siraj was the only one who was absolutely sure that Rahul should take the DRS. The Indian captain asks for it at the last second and, as it turns out, the ball was pitching outside leg. It did look like the bowler was the one who led that argument for taking the DRS and India now have two of their reviews burnt out.

India had lost a review off the previous ball and that was for an LBW call. Another shout for LBW off the very next ball, the umpire turns it down again, Rahul is persuaded to take the review again. This time though, the ball-tracker shows that it would have hit the stumps. Najmul Hossain Shanto is gone for 5, Bangladesh 13/1, trail India by 74 runs

The Bangladesh openers Zakir Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto walk out. Mohammed Siraj is bowling the first over of the day. 

Sanjay Manjrekar says that this pitch is now perfectly suited for left handers. "There's a rough outside leg. For right-handers, it's a nightmare around a good length. It's a similar story at the other end as well."

The constant talk about his apparent weakness against short pitched delivery did affect him at one point of time but Shreyas Iyer on Friday said that he turned a "deaf ear" to outside comments and focussed on taking corrective measures which is yielding results. "That (short ball issue) has been something the commentators talk about. Off-the-field, people keep saying that I have that issue. It had gone into my head at some point in time. But if I leave (the ball) or keep it down, I don't have any problem. Runs were not coming (against short balls), that was the situation. It does play in the mind of a batter when people from outside talk about issues and it’s important as a player to turn a deaf ear to them. The rest will take care of itself. At the end of the day, ignorance is bliss," said the 28-year-old right-handed batter.

India were 94/4 chasing Bangladesh's 227 when Shreyas Iyer walked in to replace Virat Kohli. Until then, India were circumspect, preferring to survive rather than score, the classical Test approach. Iyer and Pant then came in bashed the living daylights out of the red ball Bazzball style and the Bangladeshi shoulders drooped. Both batters were denied their centuries though, with Pant getting out for a sixth time in the 90s, and Bangladesh managed to reign the Indians in before the lead got out of hand and so, the Test remains alive.
