Electing to bat first, New Zealand posted 123 for five with Aimee Watkins (60) and Amy Satterwaite (34) scoring bulk of the runs.
Chasing 124, India were never really in the match once they lost opener Anagha Deshpande (1) to the fifth delivery of the day.
Only three batters -- Priyanka Roy (28), Anjum Chopra (14) and Babita Mandlik (13) -- managed double digit scores as India folded for 106 in exact 20 overs.
For New Zealand, Satterthwaite shone with the ball as well, claiming two wickets for 12 runs.
India's previous warm-up match against Australia had been abandoned without a ball bowled.
