After struggling through the initial phase, Babar started to time the ball and get off the block. He was looking all set for a big score but fell short of his half-century by four runs as he threw away his wicket.

Babar's wicket was soon followed by the departure of Sahibzada Farhan. The two quick wickets gave USA the opportunity to make a comeback in the game. However, Shadab Khan's arrival completely changed the momentum of the match. He slammed a quickfire 31 off 12 balls and put Pakistan back on course for a big total. In the end, Pakistan put on 190 at the end of 20 overs.

United States got off to a brilliant start in the chase for 191 runs. Mohammad Nawaz provided the first breakthrough to Pakistan dismissing Andries Gous. Monank Patel and Shayan Jahangir tried to build a partnership but the USA innings lost a a bit of momentum in that phase. The Pakistan spinners strangled the chase after that and the USA innings started completely falling apart. In the end, USA could managed 158/8 at the end of their 20 overs, losing the match by 32 runs.
