India won the 2007 series 1-0 under the leadership of Rahul Dravid. However, England dominated the following three series, winning 4-0 in 2011, 3-1 in 2014 and 4-1 in 2018. The most recent edition, which spanned 2021–2022 due to pandemic-related delays, ended in a dramatic 2-2 draw after India had initially taken a lead in the series.
