India captain MS Dhoni (www.dhoniworld.com), Virender Sehwag (www.sehwagworld.com), Harbhajan Singh (www.bhajjiworld.com) and Ishant Sharma (www.ishantworld.com) launched their personalised websites on Monday in collaboration with a IT firm, which, they said, will give them a chance to get first hand views of fans.

“It’s actually a fantastic idea to come in direct touch with our fans. Through our websites, they (fans) will know the real us. Our lives may appear very flamboyant, but they will be surprised that we lead a very simple life when we are in our personal space,” said Dhoni.

The skipper said the websites will be a reflection of their actual selves and fans would have the opportunity to know them better.

For Harbhajan, the idea is to share some personal moments with his fans.

“This will allows the fans to enter our world and get to know us better,” he said. And to indicate how personal he is willing to get, the cheerful off-spinner said he would break the news of his wedding on the website. “Not just the news, you’ll see the first pictures of my wedding on the website,” he said.

Sehwag felt the best part of the website lay in the chance to help aspiring cricketers with useful tips on the game. “Cricketers from far flung areas can seek my advice or post their videos clips. I can have a look, whenever possible, and offer them advice,” he said.

And how much personal information would he share with his fans? “Well, I’ll answer the questions I like,” he said.
