Watch: Shreyas Iyer comes up with another unique celebration after taking Rovman Powell's catch in 2nd ODI

After his dancing celebration in the 1st ODI, Iyer came up with another unique act as he took the catch of Rovman Powell in the second game.

Team India bowlers had another inconsistent outing in the second ODI of the series against West Indies on Sunday. The hosts posted 311/6 after deciding to bat first in Port of Spain, with opener Shai Hope scoring a magnificent century (115). West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran also produced a fine performance as he smashed 74 runs off 77 deliveries, hitting a four and six sixes en-route to the knock.

However, barring Hope and Pooran, the other batters failed to convert rather strong starts to their innings. Rovman Powell, who came in to bat after the dismissal of Pooran, had made a brisk start before Shreyas Iyer caught a brilliant catch to send him back to the pavilion.

Powell latched onto a full delivery from Thakur, lofting it over covers. However, Iyer showed brilliant skills to reach the length and pluck the delivery at deep cover area, and followed it up with a unique celebration.

Interestingly, Iyer had a dancing celebration in the first ODI after he took the catch of Shamarh Brooks at the fine leg boundary. The Indian batter also explained the reason behind his celebration during a video on the official Twitter account of the BCCI.

"Wo log chidha rahe the drop a catch, drop a catch (they were teasing me saying 'drop a catch' 'drop a catch') so catch aye mere paas maine unke jaisa dance kia thodda (when a catch came my way, I tried to dance like them after taking the catch)," Iyer said when asked by teammate Mohammed Siraj in the video.

Earlier, Thakur was the pick of the bowlers as he took three wickets, while Deepak Hooda, Axar Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal picked one each in the innings. Avesh Khan, who had made his debut in the game, had a rough outing, however, as he conceded 54 runs in merely six overs.
