A final call on Yuvraj Singh’s participation in the first one-day international against Sri Lanka will be taken tomorrow morning just ahead of the start of the five-match series opener.

After arriving in Rajkot on Sunday, the explosive left-hander saw an orthopedic surgeon after feeling pain in the little finger of his left-hand.

Niranjan Shah, Secretary of the Saurashtra Cricket Association, said the team management wants to give the left-hander enough time to recover from the finger injury.

“It will be decided tomorrow whether he will play or not. He went to a hospital yesterday,” Shah told reporters without revealing what the report of the doctor says.

According to sources Yuvraj seems to have suffered a hairline fracture and he might be asked to play after giving a pain-killing injection.

Yuvraj is coming into the series after a scintillating show in the second Twenty20 in Mohali where he slammed a blistering half-century and took three wickets.
