Ramsharan, who retired from a government primary school last year in Haldwani, had submitted fake age certificate. His Class 10 marksheet states that he was born in 1957. During investigation, it was found that he was born in 1954.

The SIT has recommended legal action against the teacher, as he purportedly changed his age and marksheet for the government job.

Magan Singh, a teacher with a government primary school at Bhagwanpur in Haridwar district passed his Class 12 in 1978. After a gap of 12 years, he graduated from the Kumaon University.

During investigation, it was found that he had submitted fake degree certificates. He is 58 and will be retiring in 2020.

Reena Rani, who works with a government primary school at Gangolighat in Pithoragarh district, was found to have submitted a fake domicile of Laksar. When the serial number mentioned in the certificate was investigated from the tehsil office, it was found that such a number did not exist. She was appointed in 2016.

Dheeraj Singh, a teacher at Kahsipur in Udham Singh Nagar, submitted a fake marksheet of Class 10. The roll number mentioned in the document submitted by him belongs to someone else. He was appointed in 1996.

Shweta Chaubey, the SIT incharge, said, “With these five cases, we have exposed 48 government teachers so far. In these cases, we have recommended school education department to take legal action.”

School education minister Arvind Pandey set up SIT last year to investigate the documents of teachers appointed between 2012 and 2016.

Meanwhile, the team received several more complaints.
