Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to go to South Korea for twin city agreement

This is his first bilateral visit to a foreign country since the Aam Aadmi Party government came to power in 2015.

Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to visit South Korea next week for a twin city agreement with its capital city Seoul. He is likely to sign a number of agreements between the two cities.

This is his first bilateral visit to a foreign country since the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government came to power in 2015.

“The visit was planned on the invitation of the mayor of Seoul. A twin city agreement between Delhi and Seoul is likely to be signed. The agreements would cover different subjects including pollution control, drinking water, public transport, education and urban development,” media advisor to the CM said on Tuesday.

As chief minister, Kejriwal went on his first official foreign tour in 2016. He then visited the Vatican City in Rome to attend the sainthood ceremony of Mother Teresa.

In January this year, the AAP government signed a memorandum of understanding with the Fukuoka Prefectural Government of Japan with the environment and air pollution, culture, tourism, heritage, education and youth exchange being the areas of focus.
