NEW DELHI: A BA LLB student of Amity University, Noida, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan at his house in Sarojini Nagar in south Delhi on Wednesday.

Sushant Rohilla reportedly locked himself in the room and even refused breakfast on Wednesday morning. His father, Jagdish Kumar, a joint secretary in Rajya Sabha, and his mother were not at home.

In his suicide note, he said he was ashamed of not being a good son, a good brother, and a good friend. “It is unclear why he took the extreme step. He wrote he was a failure and did not wish to live,” a senior police officer said.
